When is the last time you gave yourself a hug? When is the last time you gave yourself love?
Self love is something that can take time to build but when you start to, you realize that if you don’t love yourself and accept yourself, there’s a lot of things you’ll do to make others happy that leave you feeling empty.
Filling my cup before leaping in to help others is something I’ve been actively working on. If you’re use to taking care of others and helping them first, try these tips!
✨ Develop a morning routine. Before looking at your phone in the morning, do something for yourself. What makes you happy and calms you in the morning? Do that first!
✨ Stay away from social media when you first wake up. It isn’t going anywhere! Instead of doom scrolling first thing in the morning, have tea or coffee and settle into your day.
✨ Write in the morning. Do a brain dump, write down all the things that are in your head and allow it to flow without judgement.
✨ List 3 things you’re grateful for that happened in 24 hours. Gratitude makes a huge difference in your day. Writing and connecting to what happened in the past 24 hours is most impactful.
